Haitham Al Tamimi, Lead Business Development for Marine Services and Shipping, joined SOHAR Port and Freezone in 2018. In this role, he combines his technical knowledge with commercial strategies to enhance marine services, ensuring SOHAR’s position as a leader in innovation and operational excellence in the maritime industry.
A key milestone in Haitham’s career at SOHAR was his leadership in implementing the Mass Flow Meter System for bunkering, making SOHAR the second port globally to adopt this advanced technology. This initiative significantly improved the accuracy and transparency of fuel measurements, meeting global standards and reinforcing SOHAR’s reputation as a leader in sustainable and innovative maritime operations.
Haitham’s journey from engineering to business development exemplifies his adaptability and commitment to growth. Prior to joining SOHAR, he served as a Marketing Engineer at Asyad Drydock Company, where he honed his ability to align technical solutions with client needs and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
His educational foundation includes a B.Sc. Honours degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University and an MSc in International Marketing from Sheffield Hallam University. He has also pursued various certifications in Contract Management, Logistics, Leadership Development, and Negotiation.

Angad Banga serves as Chief Operating Officer of The Caravel Group, overseeing key areas including Asset Management, Investment, Finance, and Operations. He joined the Group at its inception in 2013 as Executive Director and has played an integral role in shaping the company’s business growth strategy. In addition, Angad is a key member of the Group’s Management, Investment, Risk and Credit Committees, and he oversees the Group’s digital strategy.
Angad serves as Executive Director of Fleet Management and his leadership has been pivotal in guiding Fleet’s expansion and solidifying its reputation for excellence in the maritime industry. Angad’s commitment to the industry is further demonstrated through his position as Chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA), one of the world’s largest shipowner associations.
Angad was previously a Principal at KKR, where he focused on leveraged buyouts across the Asia-Pacific region. He also led the Asian Leveraged Finance business for KKR Capital Markets Asia, financing some of the most complex private equity acquisitions in the region. Angad began his career at J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong. He holds a BA with Honours in Economics from Dartmouth College and has served on various advisory boards at the institution.
In recognition of his contributions to public service and the community of Hong Kong, Angad was appointed a Justice of the Peace (JP) in July 2024.

Akanksha Batura Pai is Executive Director of Sinoda Shipping Agency, Strategy Head for Raks International, and Director of Seamind Blue Ocean, where she drives digitalisation, talent development and sustainable growth in maritime services. She advises Sailor’s Cart, a seafarer-focused e-commerce platform, and led Sinoda to become Singapore’s first FONASBA member, where she now sits on its Education & Quality Committee.
A passionate industry advocate, Akanksha is IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador Emerita, serves on the Singapore Shipping Association Council, and is a Global Ambassador for Mission to Seafarers, WISTA and Maritime SheEO. She contributes to the Nautical Institute and leads the Women in Logistics community at the Singapore Logistics Association, while mentoring maritime start-ups through PIER71.
She also serves as Liaison Officer at the Consulate-General of Malta in Singapore and is a Director on the NUS Business School Alumni Association Board.
Akanksha holds a BBA (Hons), MSc (Management), CEMS MIM from National University of Singapore, a Professional Doctorate from European International University and most recently a Postgraduate Diploma in Executive Maritime Management from the World Maritime University.
Recognised globally, she has received multiple honours including Seatrade 20 Under 40, Top 100 Women in Shipping (#1 in 2025), Maritime SheEO Leader of the Year, and Shiptek Rising Star 2025.

Nicolai Bendixen is Managing Director for Bunker at ZeroNorth. In this role, he is leading the shift from transactional bunkering to an integrated part of shipping operations, where fuel procurement decisions are directly connected to voyage planning, commercial outcomes, and emissions performance. He is focused on helping operators navigate volatile fuel markets, new regulatory demands, and the transition to alternative fuels.
He has more than 20 years of experience in shipping, giving him a broad perspective on how market dynamics, regulation, and operations influence commercial decision-making. Nicolai began his career with A.P. Moller – Maersk before moving into shipbroking and chartering roles in Denmark, the UK and Singapore, later holding senior commercial positions at Ultrabulk, where he gained deep expertise in dry bulk markets and global trade dynamics.

A history graduate from Oxford University, during a 30 year career with ICS, Simon has represented the industry at, among others, IMO, ILO, the UN in New York, UNFCCC, UNCTAD, OECD, WCO and WTO, as well as with APEC and the EU.
A particular current focus for Simon is leading shipowners‘ response to the challenge of reducing greenhouse gas emission, and he led ICS in the recent negotiations on the IMO Net-Zero Framework.

Welcome Address/Session one: Leadership Discussion
Constantinos studied Law in Greece (LLB) and England (LLM in Maritime Law – University of Southampton). He is a qualified Greek lawyer since 1997 and English solicitor since 2002.
From 1998 to 2002 he was the Legal Counsel of Excel Maritime Carriers, a Piraeus-based shipping company listed in NYSE. From 2002 to 2004 Constantinos worked as a marine litigation solicitor at Holman Fenwick & Willan, both in London and Piraeus. Between 2004-2013 he was a shareholder and Director of Quantum Shipping Ltd., a shipping company of Constantinos’ family interests, where he was responsible for the company’s investment strategy as well as for all legal, commercial and managerial issues.
In 2014 Constantinos joined Starbulk, serving as General Manager of a number of private vessels and subsequently as Executive Vice President – Control Director of the group’s procurement arm, Ship Procurement Services SA. Since 2019 Constantinos is serving as Starbulk’s Bunker Director, responsible for bunkering procurement / strategy and Starbulk’s cooperation with bunker industry stakeholders.
In 2020, Constantinos first entered the elections for IBIA’s Board and was successfully elected as a Board Member. Currently, he holds the positions of IBIA Chair, Chair of IBIA’s Future Fuels Working Group, and previously served as IBIA’s Vice Chair from 2022 to 2024.

Mr Klaus Chan is Principal Assistant Secretary at the Transport and Logistics Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, overseeing policies in relation to logistics and green maritime fuel development in Hong Kong. Before joining the Transport and Logistics Bureau, he had been with the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau and the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau in different capacities.

Hing Chao is the Executive Chairman of Wah Kwong Maritime Transport, Co-founder and Chairman of the Hong Kong Chamber of Shipping, and Board Director of the Global Maritime Forum.
Hing drives industry collaborations on an international and regional scale. He chairs the Bureau Veritas Global Marine and Offshore Advisory Council and RINA’s Asia Decarbonisation Committee. He is also a founder and convenor of the Greater Bay Maritime Forum and serves as a committee member of the Consultative Committee on Guangdong-Hong Kong Co-operation (Guanghzhou Nansha). In addition, Hing is a trustee of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, Honorary President of Institute of Seatransport, the Chairman of Port Welfare Committee of the Marine Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and a member of The Hong Kong Committee of Nippon Kaiji Kyokai.
On driving social impact, Hing steers corporate-school partnership programmes to nurture future multidisciplinary maritime talents in Liaoning province, Shandong province, Shanghai and the Greater Bay Area. He is also a member of the Maritime Services Training Board of the Vocational and Training Council in Hong Kong.

Mr. Christopher Chatterton is a seasoned international executive with over 25 years of experience spanning energy, shipping, transportation, renewables, and chemicals across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Since joining GREEN MARINE in 2024, he has brought deep domain knowledge and commercial leadership to the mission of accelerating the transition to sustainable marine fuels.
At GREEN MARINE, Mr. Chatterton draws upon his extensive track record, including his tenure as Chief Operating Officer of the Methanol Institute, where he led global market development for methanol as a marine fuel and engaged closely with regulatory bodies such as the IMO, ISO, and national authorities to shape alternative fuel policy. Earlier, he served as Director for Group DF International, a vertically integrated energy and chemicals conglomerate, managing assets on behalf of a European family office with an annual turnover exceeding USD 5bln.
Mr. Chatterton has led successful capital raises and exits across the energy and agri-tech sectors, including three European IPOs. He remains active in the startup and innovation ecosystem as a founder, mentor, and board member, with a focus on sustainability, Scope 3 emissions insetting, and green infrastructure.
Fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, Mr. Chatterton has lived and worked extensively across Asia, including 13 years in Singapore, bringing a nuanced understanding of global markets. He holds a Global Executive MBA from HEC Paris and is a Certified Advisory Board Chairman.

Choong Sheen Mao is Director of Equatorial Marine Fuel Management Services. Equatorial is a vertically integrated physical bunker supplier. In 2022, Equatorial was ranked by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) as the largest marine fuel supplier by volume in Singapore. Singapore is the world’s largest bunkering hub. Equatorial owns and operates a fleet over 20 bunker tankers and supplies an annual bunker volume of about 5 million tonnes.
Sheen Mao graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. Prior to joining Equatorial, he practised as a shipping and international trade lawyer at one of the largest law firms in Asia.

Kenneth Dam joined Trafigura’s fuel oil team in 2017 and in May 2019 became Co-Head of its newly formed bunkering team. In 2020, Kenneth was appointed Global Head of Bunkering for TFG Marine, a joint venture created between Trafigura and ship owning companies Frontline and Golden Ocean to supply quality marine fuels to ship owners at global strategic bunkering hubs.
Before joining Trafigura, from 2011 to 2016, Kenneth worked for Monjasa and played a key role in developing its West Africa bunkering operations.
TFG Marine is a leading international marine fuel supply and procurement joint venture between physical commodity trading company Trafigura Group Pte and ship owning companies Frontline Ltd and Golden Ocean Group Ltd. Charles “Bud” Darr is President and CEO of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), which provides a unified voice for the industry as the leading authority of the global cruise community. In this role, Bud oversees CLIA’s operations across five key regions—North America, Europe, the UK and Ireland, Australasia, and Brazil/Latin America—as the industry advances policies and practices that foster safe, healthy, and sustainable cruise operations. Appointed in February 2025, Bud returned to CLIA after previously serving as Senior Vice President of Technical and Regulatory Affairs from 2010 to 2017. Before rejoining CLIA, he was Executive Vice President for Maritime Policy and Government Affairs at MSC Group for over seven years.

Jeroen De Vos is Head of Global Operations at Peninsula and being based in Gibraltar. He began his career in the maritime industry as a marine engineer where he gained valuable seagoing experience from various companies including the Royal Dutch Navy. Jeroen joined DNV Petroleum Services in 2000 as a Technical Advisor and wore many hats over the next decade and a half. In 2015 Jeroen became Global Technical Director at VPS when he moved to Peninsula in 2019 to build and head up the dedicated Quality Department. He is also an active member in several international working groups including ISO 8217 (TC28/SC4/WG6).

NIGEL DRAFFIN served at sea as an engineer with Shell from 1966, coming ashore in 1979 working in the Shell International Marine’s New Building, Research and Operations departments. In 1996 he moved to Bunker broking, first at Gibsons then at LQM Petroleum Services where he was Technical Manager before retiring in 2015. He has sailed on and supervised the construction and operation of bulk carriers, oil tankers and gas carriers. He has acted as a consultant on technical issues for over 25 years and. He given expert opinions and is a supporting member of LMAA. A founder member of the International Bunker Industry Association serving as Chairman in 2012, and most recently as Treasurer (2022). He was re-elected to the Board in 2023. He was one of the authors of the JIP preparing the Guide to safe operation with 0.50% sulphur fuels (2019). He is a member of the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology, Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Fuellers and Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights. He is the course director of the Petrospot bunkering courses and has presented many courses on bunkering topics for IBIA, Malta Maritime, Gibraltar Port Operators and many others. He is a regular presenter at bunker conferences. He has written 13 books on Bunkering and Shipping published by Petrospot.

His responsibilities cover the full spectrum of fuel management, from commercial sourcing and risk mitigation to ensuring bunker quality and managing claims.
Richard is at the forefront of the maritime industry's energy transition, driving ONE's move towards lower-carbon and alternative fuels, including green methanol, LNG, and biofuels. His work also focuses on building key multi-party partnerships to navigate compliance with regulations from bodies like the IMO and FuelEU. A proponent of digitalization, he oversees the company's digital fuel system and is an advocate for the adoption of electronic Bunker Delivery Notes (eBDN) and AI Innovations.
With prior roles at APL Co Pte Ltd and Consort Bunkers Pte Ltd, Richard has a proven history of implementing significant cost-saving measures and loss-prevention programs. Mr. Yulkyung(Robert) Hong is the Trading Manager at Hyundai Fuels Pte Ltd, a Hyundai Corporation subsidiary based in Singapore. With extensive experience in global marine fuel trading, he oversees procurement, risk management, and strategic development across key markets including Korea, Japan, Singapore and Southeast Asia.
He specializes in supply chain optimization, credit and risk management, and structuring consignment and financing models that enhance trading efficiency. Mr. Hong has worked with leading bunker trading companies including World Fuel Services, and O.W. Bunker, building deep expertise in both physical and paper markets.

Dr. Edmund Hughes

Dr Hughes is Director of Green Marine Associates Ltd. an independent consultancy based in the UK specialising in maritime policy development, regulatory implementation and risk management with a focus on the control of emissions from ships. Recently, he has supported the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) in its work to develop regulatory measures for international shipping to address GHG emissions from ships including a ‘Fund and Reward’ mechanism and a Simplified Global Fuel Standard. His current work also includes working as a Specialist Adviser to the UK Parliament’s House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee for its inquiry into ‘Net zero aviation and shipping’.
Previously, Dr Hughes was Head, Air Pollution and Energy Efficiency in the Marine Environment Division of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). As a member of the IMO Secretariat he was responsible for MARPOL Annex VI, the International Regulations for the Prevention of Air Pollution from Ships, including regulations on controlling emissions to air including IMO 2020 and energy efficiency for ships. He was also responsible for IMO’s work to address GHG emissions from international shipping which included being Secretary to the IMO working group that developed the Initial IMO Strategy on Reduction of GHG emissions from ships adopted in 2018.
Prior to joining the IMO, Dr Hughes worked in the UK civil service for some eight years. This included six years at the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), where he held policy roles in safety management (ISM Code) and environment (Ballast Water Management and Air Pollution) including preparing and overseeing the implementation into UK law of IMO and EU instruments: MARPOL Annex VI and EU Sulphur Directive
respectively.
When in the UK civil service Dr Hughes spent two years in HM Treasury, the UK’s Finance and Economics Ministry, where he worked on risk management and corporate governance for the public sector. Before joining the civil service he worked in academia researching engineering design and systems failure at the University of Bath. He has a PhD and an engineering degree from Cranfield University in the UK.

Jens started his career in Shipping over 35 years ago since August 1990, and has vast experience with forwarding agencies, port agencies, vessel operations and chartering. In 1996, Jens started working for MARAG A/S (Maritime Agency Bunkers A/S) as part of the O.W. Group, until 2003. For the next 4 years he became a Bunker Manager for the ARMADA Group, before moving on to his current position as the Director at Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG. (2007).
Jens become a Board member of IBIA in 2010 and was the IBIA Chairman from 2014 - 2016. He has been a regular speaker on the event circuit, particularly at SIBCON.
Jens is at present operating and buying bunkers for a fleet over 750 vessels, buying close to 4 million tons of bunkers and having own bunker barge in Singapore. He is also managing 3 departments/teams which includes ETS Support / Fuel EU Maritime and New Fuels. Besides that, he also controls 15 bunker superintendents globally.

Sunil is the ICS lead providing subject matter expertise on marine fuels, air emissions and other technical matters and has recently taken up the responsibility of further developing and strengthening ICS’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Sunil is passionate about safety of ships, especially on the safe use of fuels and is an active participant in the IMO work on marine fuel safety. He is currently involved in the development of Lifecycle GHG emission Analysis of marine fuels and the development of safety measures for the use of alternative low-and zero-carbon fuels such as Hydrogen and Ammonia. He is a chartered engineer, a member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology and a member of the Renewable Energy Institute.
Sunil has led ICS work on sulphur issues, taking an active part in the development of IMO guidance on 2020 implementation at MEPC, PPR and MSC. He has also led ICS work on the development of various industry guidance documents such as the Guidance to Shipping Companies and Crews on Preparing for Compliance with the 2020 ‘Global Sulphur Cap’ and the Engine Room Procedures

Prof. Lynn Loo is the Chief Executive Officer at the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation.

Under her leadership, Lynn has led GCMD to launch several initiatives to close technical and operational gaps in deploying ammonia as a marine fuel, establishing the assurance framework for drop-in green fuels, unlocking the carbon value chain to demonstrate onboard carbon capture and storage systems and the offtake of LCO2, and deploying energy efficiency technologies to improve fuel efficiency of ships. To date, GCMD is working with more than 130 centre- and project-level partners.

Alexander is the Executive Director of IBIA. Under the direction of IBIA’s Chair and Board he is leading the Secretariat, heading all the activities of the organization and he is responsible for the overall management of the Association.
Alexander was the founder and CEO of PRO Holdings and the architect of the probunkers project. Prior to founding probunkers, he served Mamidakis Brothers Group as a senior executive, leading all of the Group’s Shipping, Bunkering and Aviation activities, through its respective companies: JetOil, JetTank and STYGA Compania Naviera. Mr. Prokopakis has over 25 years of professional experience in leadership positions, over which he has attained deep knowledge and expertise mainly in the industry of shipping and bunkering. Capt. Saunak Rai is heading “FueLNG”, a Joint venture of Shell and Seatrium, a company providing LNG as bunkers to customers in Singapore. Under his leadership, FUELNG successfully performed first in Asia, simultaneous cargo and ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation with CMA CGM Scandola and first in the world, LNG Bunkering to LNG fueled Newcastlemax Bulk carrier Mount Tourmaline. He also led FueLNG to win the World LNG Award 2021 for Outstanding Contribution to LNG Industry at WORLD LNG AWARD at Rome in Dec 2021.
Saunak Rai is also the Chairman of National Technical Committee for Bunkering (Cryogenic and Gaseous Fuels), Singapore, in charge of developing Singapore bunkering standards (including LNG, Ammonia, Bio-Methane and Hydrogen) related to quality and quantity measurement, safety procedures and competency requirements and development. Capt. Saunak Rai is a licensed Master Mariner and has extensive experience working on LNG vessels, Tankers, Bulk Carriers and Container vessels. He has completed his Master’s in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Maria Skipper Schwenn joined Bunker Holding as Director of Environmental Regulatory and Public Affairs in 2023. Her primary tasks include securing Bunker Holding staying ahead of the curve in the transition to a low-carbon maritime industry. Before joining Bunker Holding Maria worked as Executive Director, Climate, Environment and Security at Danish Shipping for 13 years advocating the interests of Danish shipowners. She served as advisor to the Danish IMO delegation and was a member of ICS Marine Committee and ECSA Safety and Environment Committee. In her current position, Maria chairs the EWABA Maritime Task Force and is member of the Advisory board to ReFlow – environmental performance made easy and the board of Danfoss IXA, producer of marine emission monitoring systems.
Maria holds a master’s degree in Political Science from University of Southern Denmark and a master’s degree in European Politics and Administration from the College of Europe, Belgium.

Kasper Soerensen boasts an extensive background of over 15 years in the shipping and bunkering industry. Currently, he holds the position of General Manager, overseeing Hafnia's bunker alliance in the Middle East and Asia.
Kasper embarked on his shipping career by participating in an international trainee program with A.P. Moeller – Maersk in Denmark. This program provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the organization by exposing him to various departments. Subsequently, he was relocated to Bogota, Colombia.
Following his time in Colombia, Kasper secured a position in Copenhagen with Maersk Oil Trading. There, he was entrusted with the responsibility of sourcing fuel for A.P. Moeller – Maersk's fleet of container liners and tanker vessels.
Throughout his professional journey, Kasper has garnered valuable experience working with physical suppliers and traders, including notable stints at Bomin in Hamburg and Glencore in London and Singapore. These experiences have contributed to his expertise in the industry, ultimately leading him to his current role at Hafnia.
In 2009, Kasper earned a Business Diploma in Finance from Copenhagen Business School.

Jason Stefanatos is the Global Decarbonization Director in DNV Maritime, where he has worked for the past 15 years in Greece and Norway in various positions, including R&D and Advisory. Kaori Takahashi is General Manager of the Fuel Group at NYK Line (Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha), one of the world’s largest shipping companies headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. It operates a fleet of approximately 800 vessels worldwide, including automobile carriers, bulk carriers, tankers, LNG vessels, and cruise ships. The Fuel Group is responsible for procuring marine fuel for NYK-operated vessels, supporting the company’s global operations and sustainability goals.
Since joining NYK in 1989, Kaori has held diverse roles across marketing, sales, and regional operations for the container business in Asia-Europe, the East Coast of South America, and South Africa trades. She also served as Director at NYK Group Europe in London, leading strategic initiatives across the region.
Her recent leadership roles include Deputy General Manager of the Human Resources Group for eight years and, since 2024, General Manager of the Fuel Group. Kaori brings deep expertise in international maritime operations, organizational development, and energy transition strategies. Her global perspective and commitment to sustainable marine fuels continue to shape NYK’s strategic direction.

Adrian Tolson is the owner of 2050 Marine Energy and is widely recognized as one of the shipping industry’s leading marine energy experts. With more than 35 years of experience, he has both detailed knowledge and unique insight into the bunker supply chain and its many related infrastructure developments.
2050 Marine Energy was formed in late 2022 to provide commercial insight to all stakeholders in the marine fuel supply chain navigating the disruption of this decade and future transformation. This new venture comes as Adrian leaves his role as Insight Lead at BLUE after more than decade of close cooperation with the brand and communications consultancy. He will continue to act as a Strategic Advisor to the company, working with specific existing clients and providing consultancy on marine energy trends.
Adrian has led numerous global business development projects across the marine energy sector. This includes assisting ship owners and physical suppliers on future fuel procurement and supply strategies; the development of bunkering infrastructure projects for existing and alternative fuels; as well as working with the financial and investment community on the opportunities in the future marine energy landscape.
Adrian’s experience spans leadership roles with some of the industry’s largest marine fuel suppliers, including Chemoil Energy, where he was responsible for successfully driving the company through to IPO; and as Vice President and General Manager of OW Bunker where he established its physical supply operation in the USA.
Elected to the board of the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) in 2020, Adrian is currently its Treasurer and Chairman of the IBIA’s Americas Regional Board.

Chris joined Integr8 Fuels in 2017, working in Singapore before moving to Dubai. He has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and shipping industries, covering laboratory management, physical supply, bunker broking, and trading. His work has also included technical supervision of exclusive fuel procurement for shipowners, charterers, and operators, along with the development of online bunker resources to support industry needs.
In addition to his role at Integr8, Chris is an active voice in the global bunkering community. He is a member of the International Bunker Industry Association’s (IBIA) technical working group and is regularly invited to share his expertise at leading conferences worldwide. Whether speaking, moderating, or contributing as a panelist, Chris offers insights on market developments, technical challenges, and the future direction of marine fuels.

Patrick Verhoeven is managing director of the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH). The organisation represents 200 ports and 173 port-related businesses in 94 countries. Prior to joining IAPH in 2017, Patrick spent twenty-four years in Brussels representing the interests of shipowners, port authorities, terminal operators and ship agents at EU level. He started his career in 1991 with the Antwerp-based ship agent Grisar & Velge. From 2019 to 2022, Patrick served on the supervisory board of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority as deputy chairman. Patrick holds a PhD in applied economics and a bachelor’s in law from the University of Antwerp. He is associate professor at the university’s Centre for Maritime and Air Transport Management (C-MAT). Patrick lives in Antwerp with his wife and three children.

Wei started his BIMCO career with the legal & contractual affairs department in 2011 at BIMCO headquarter in Denmark where he joined a wide range of BIMCO’s standard contracts and clauses projects, including project development, revision and promotion. He was further promoted as China Liaison Officer as well as the General Manager of BIMCO Shanghai Centre. In 2016 he was nominated as the Regional Manager of Asia where he is committed to keeping a constructive relationship with regional regulators and industry stakeholders and, most importantly, to provide portfolio services to BIMCO members and potential members in Asia. Now Wei Zhuang is the Head of Asia-Pacific, BIMCO.
Wei’s previous positions include eight years as a maritime lawyer and senior fellow at maritime university. He has a master’s degree in maritime law and a PhD in international law.

Ms Caroline Yang is the CEO of Hong Lam Marine Pte Ltd, a leading bunker craft operator in Singapore.
Caroline has over 30 years of experience in the shipping industry. Kickstarting her career as Hong Lam Marine’s in-house legal counsel in 1991, Caroline progressed to the appointment of Executive Director in 2002. In her current role as CEO, she also directly oversees the legal and human resources functions in the company.
Caroline holds a L.L.B. Honours from the University of London and a B.A. Honours from the National University of Singapore. She has been called to the Bar of England and Wales and the Bar of Singapore in 1992 and 1995 respectively.
Caroline was the President of Singapore Shipping Association (2019 to 2025), Board Member of Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (2019 to 2025) and Singapore Maritime Foundation (2019 to 2025), and one of four Vice-Chairs of International Chamber of Shipping (2021 to 2025).
